Activities Concerning Stage Two, System Development (WBS 2000)

WBS 2100 – Stage Management

The final version of the System Development Methodology and the GIS Conception reports were delivered and approved and so this activity was completed.

WBS 2200 – Business Analysis

The final version of the Business Analysis report was approved on 26 th October 2001.

WBS 2300 – Requirements Definition

The first version of the Requirements Definition report was approved on 26 th October 2001.

WBS 2400 – Rapid Feasibility Study

The Rapid Feasibility Study was approved on 26 th October 2001.

WBS 2500 – Conceptual Design

Conceptual Design was approved on 29 th November 2001.

During the first quarter a report on the EUROSTAT requirements was refocused and rescheduled from WBS 2100 to WBS 2500. It is referred to as Trends and Standards of GI Technology in the Field of the European Statistics. This report was approved on 8th November 2001.

WBS 2600 – Acceptance Test Plan

Acceptance Test Plan was delivered on 20 th December 2001.

Activities Concerning Stage Four, GIS Development (WBS 4000)

WBS 4100 – Digital Map detailed design

This activity covered the preparation of all aspects of the software implementation. It was carried out in December 2001.

WBS 4200 – Physical data model preparation

This activity created the physical data model of the application. The Software Architecture Plan was delivered on 20 th December 2001.

Activities Concerning GIS Development Stage (WBS 5000)

WBS 5100 – Establish training programme

Understanding mandate was completed. Establish training programme was started, a Training requirement document is being developed.

Activities Concerning Procurement of Reimbursables (WBS 8000)

WBS 8420 – Preparing the work of Evaluation Committee

BlomInfo provided draft responses to the clarification questions, and the drafts of the technical evaluation sheets. This task has been completed.

WBS 8430 – Closing tendering

There was no need for BlomInfo’s interaction.

WBS 8440 – Evaluation of Tenders

BlomInfo provided an expert for both tender evaluations.

WBS 7521 – Articles

- BlomInfo have been updating the Internet Page regularly.

- A handout book was edited for the Internal HCSO Seminar on 12 December 2001.

WBS 7531 – Conferences

- BlomInfo provided four Presentations at the Internal HCSO Seminar

The aim of this page is to provide an overview of the technical implementation through listing studies, handovers of presentations, technical plans, designs and documentation of testing.

The following list includes technical documents that were developed during the Second Quarter.

(1) Rapid Feasibility Study of Options

The language of this document is Hungarian and its title is “Rapid Feasibility Study of Options”. The aim of the document is the definition of optional elements of business procedures, sub-procedures, functions and requirements relating to the statistical processing of the vineyard and fruit plantation census data, the representation of the results of the census on digital maps as identified in “Business Analysis” and “Requirements Definition documents. Further aim of this document is the short analysis of the feasibility of these options then recommendation on the priority of implementation.

(2) Trends and Standards of GI Technology in the Field of the European Statistics.

The language of this document is English. The objective is to ensure that GIS implemented in this project fulfils requirements about Geographical Information (GI) from Eurostat, and that data communication with Eurostat is possible in the best way. The study reviews a number of Eurostat related documents, analyses them and phrase recommendations for both agricultural statistical and a geographical aspects.

(3) Digital map conceptual design

The language of this document is Hungarian and its title is “Digital map conceptual design”. The aim of the document is the conceptual definition of the system necessary for the planning and development of the digital map management system, supporting business procedures, sub-procedures, functions and requirements - relating to the statistical processing of the vineyard and fruit plantation census data, the representation of the results of the census on digital maps as identified in “Business Analysis” and Requirements Definition  documents.

(4) Acceptance Test Plan

The language of this document is Hungarian and its title is “Acceptance Test Plan”. The aim of the document is the preparation of the system acceptance test plan with a functionality set out in “Digital map conceptual design” document, implementation of testing and defining the conditions of system acceptance.

(5) Physical data model preparation

The language of this document is Hungarian and its title is “System Architecture Plan”. The aim of the document is the preparation of the physical design of a system with a functionality set out in “Digital map conceptual design” document, considering the environment of development and receipt.
