About our Aims

The Agricultural Digital Map will be created on settlement level but it will be supplemented with land unit data deriving from the index maps of surveying base maps and the co-ordinates of agricultural census units. Its direct task is to manage the results of fruit and vineyard census underway. The data product is also prepared in the form of an electronic publication so the county offices of the HCSO can utilise it, too. The user interface will be a spatial informatical application, which is easy to manage and learn. 30-40 members of the HCSO staff will participate in the related training.

Most important data sources: the data base containing the results of the census, the data base of administrative boundaries sold by FOMI, all 1:10 000 and some 1:4000 scale index maps of surveying base maps. The geo codes are taken from index maps rasterised by scanning and then transformed. Raster maps will serve as background for the representation of the agricultural census units.
